OpeniBoot Brings Android on iPod touch 4G, iPhone 4 and iPad

After porting Android 2.2 on iPhone 3G using iBootlace successfully, the hackers behind the hard work are now working on porting Android 2.2 on iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G and iPad using OpeniBoot. They soon will be releasing OpeniBoot to run Android on fourth generation idevices. iBootlace advantage is that no computer connection and wires are required to install iBootlace on your iPhone. The hackers have released an image and a video sowing iPhone 4 and iPad running Android OS. Hit the video after a break!

For those who don’t know, OpeniBoot is an open source implementation of iBoot bootloader which allows the booting of unsigned code. It allows developers to add code for linux kernels onto jailbroken Apple devices. It then makes the device dual boot and provides the user of the device with option to select Android OS at the time of booting. The user can select Operating System of his choice. Currently, OpeniBoot based Bootlace is supporting iPhone 3G, 2G and iPod touch (first gen) to run Android. Check the video for OpeniBoot running on iPhone 4 and iPad.

With Android option on your idevice you can enjoy flash and much more features of Android with your idevice. There is no ETA yet announced by hackers of releasing the tool but the progress is quite good and it is expected that very soon they will release OpeniBoot for iPhone 4, iPad and iPod touch 4G. We will provide you the instructions and links to install and use it.
